I’ve never ordered from you before. Where do I start?
A: Please take some time and browse our website and Yelp account. Once you have a general idea of a product that will fit your event and interests the best, please fill out our online order form. This form asks all the necessary questions we need answered to complete your order request. Please note that we do not have store front and cannot take your order in person.
Can I order over the phone?
A: Unfortunately, you cannot. Because each order is custom made and unique, web-order form at this site and email are the best ways to ensure we create the cake exactly as you requested.
How far in advance should I place my order?
A: The sooner the better. During the busy holiday season, our capacity is quickly filled up and you should think about placing your order 4-6 weeks prior to your delivery/pick up date. Due to the high volume of requests for our cakes, we must have a minimum of 2 week notice for any custom order.
But what if I need a cake tomorrow?
A: Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate your request on such short notice.
My party is in less than 1 week, can I still get a cake?
A: Possibly, although we might have only very limited set of varieties and decoration options. Email us to find out if there is slot available.
I think I know what I want, but I have some questions before I place my order. What should I do?
A: Please email us. Your questions are very important to us and we strive to meet and exceed your expectations. Due to high volume of orders we might not be able to respond to your email immediately but we will come back to you as soon as we can.
How do I secure my slot?
A: My Delicious Tiramisu works on a first paid, first served basis. Once all order details are finalized, a payment will reserve the date. We do not take partial payment deposits and slot is confirmed only after order is paid in full. Please contact us for arranging special terms if you wish to place large volume or recurring orders.
What is your cancellation policy?
A: The payment is non-refundable. In some cases, we might be able to waive the payment requirement. Please contact us for arranging special terms if you wish to place large volume or recurring orders.
Can I stop by to see what items are available for purchase?
A: Unfortunately, no. All of our orders are custom-made for a specific customer for the requested delivery/pick up date.
What kind of sweet goods do you sell?
A: My Delicious Tiramisu specializes in custom tiramisu cakes for all your events. We are happy to offer you several flavors: classic tiramisu with coffee and alcohol, decaffeinated coffee with or without alcohol, coffee- and alcohol-free, as well as strawberry tiramisu cake.
Do you make custom decorated layered wedding cakes?
A: Unfortunately, no. Tiramisu cakes we make are very tender and light and, therefore, cannot physically support multi-layer structure. Nevertheless, we would be happy to make single-layer delicious undecorated cake for dessert table at your wedding. Please remember that all of our tiramisu cakes need to stay refrigerated prior to consumption.
Do your products contain nuts?
A: Our cakes do not use any nuts as ingredients but are made in the facility that uses variety of nuts for other dishes. Therefore, there is always the possibility that our cake contains trace amount of nuts due to cross-contamination. We suggest that anyone with any kind of food allergy refrains from consuming our products.
I have scheduled to pick up my cake at 10 am. Can I pick it up earlier?
A: No. Due to the volume of orders we receive, it is imperative that we schedule a pick up time for each order. We make each day’s orders based on pick up schedule. This allows us to ensure that all of our products are of the finest quality and freshness for you.
Where do I pick up?
A: We email you pick up address in Santa Clara after all order details are finalized.
Is delivery available?
A: Delivery might be available within Santa Clara County. Delivery fees start at $20. Please have your delivery address ready when asking for a quote.
How large of cake should I order?
A: Please assess how many guests would be attending your event first. Then, visit our Prices page to find available cake sizes in terms of number of estimated servings. Please keep in mind that, while our estimated serving size is generous, you and your guests may decide to consume a smaller or a larger piece than we estimate. Our tiramisu cakes are tender and light… your guests might enjoy the first piece so much that they ask for an extra piece.
I only need a small cake for 2 people. Why do I have to order a cake for 12 servings?
A: We are a custom-order only bakery and have no retail space to sell un-used portions of the cake. Therefore, we have to have a minimum size order to keep the customer prices reasonable.
Can I freeze your tiramisu?
A: You could keep the tiramisu cake in the freezer for up to 6 weeks. Please contact us for suggested re-freezing method that helps to keep the quality and taste of the cake unchanged.
Do you offer any gluten-free or diabetic-friendly cakes?
A: Not at this time.
Do you sell any vegan cakes?
A: Not at this time.
Are any of your products sugar-free?
A: Not at this time.
Do you sell any product that is wheat-free?
A: Not at this time.
Are you certified kosher?
A: Not at this time.
Can I have small samples of your cake?
A: Unfortunately, no. We are a custom-order only bakery and have no retail space to sell un-used portions of the cake. Therefore, we have to have a minimum size order to keep the customer prices reasonable.
Do you accept credit cards or cash?
A: We accept credit/debit cards only.
Do you require a deposit?
A: All orders have to be paid in full to secure the slot. We do not take partial payment deposits. Please contact us for arranging special payment terms if you wish to place large volume or recurring orders.
How do I pay for the order?
A: After all the order details are finalized, we will email you an electronic invoice payable electronically with your credit or debit card. Your order is secured only after we receive your payment.
How should I store my cake?
A: All our cakes should stay refrigerated prior to consumption. Please discard any portion of the cake not consumed within 4 days of the order delivery/pick up.
I would like a cake with a chocolate picture on it. Can you do that?
A: Yes, with at least two week advance notice. Please send us the image in the highest resolution possible to our e-mail email@example.com. Picture plaques typically cost $85 and up, depending on images and size.
What is the price and minimum order for custom cupcakes?
A: Our custom cupcakes are jumbo size and are made in dark chocolate cups. The minimum order size is 12 cupcakes. Price for each cupcake without decorations is $8.
Caterers that serve our event, ask for legal documents from baker. Do you provide those?
A: When required, we will provide the copies of our business license, health department permit and business insurance.
I have a restaurant or coffee shop of my own. Do you offer wholesale?
A: Yes! Please email us for wholesale pricing and information.
I saw a cake on another website. Can you make a cake like it?
A: It depends. First, we would need to see the picture of the cake from another site and the size of the cake you plan to order. Please email the picture, servings needed, flavors to firstname.lastname@example.org. Upon receiving this information, we will let you know if it is possible to make a similar cake and, if so, give you a quote. Please note, we will not be able to make exact copy of the cake on the picture nor include any copyrighted images in the decorations. However, we will do our best to make the cake the most delicious and beautiful you have ever had.
May I make changes to my order?
A: While we strive to accommodate all customer requests to make you experience with My Delicious Tiramisu as delightful as possible, we cannot guarantee acceptance of order or decoration changes within 2 weeks of the scheduled delivery/pick up date. If changes are acceptable bu require additional work, additional fees will apply.
Do you make 3D Novelty cakes?
A: No. The texture of the cake is too tender for 3D cakes.
What material do you use to decorate your cakes?
A: In most cases, we use modeling chocolate. In some cases, sugar fondant is added to decorations. All wire-framed flowers are made with sugar paste.
1. The full payment reserves the date of your event and is non-refundable.
2. The final date for any changes of size, flavors, or design of fully decorated cakes is 2 weeks prior to the event. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.
3. Please open the box before you leave pick up location. If something is broken or damaged, address the problem to a person in charge. We are not responsible for any cake damages after the cake left pick up location. You are responsible for providing appropriate and secure transportation.
4. Delivery and setup fees are $20-60 within Santa Clara County. Delivery must be booked in advance. We do not have same day delivery available. There will be hourly charges of $50 if we have to wait beyond pre-agreed pick up time at the requested delivery location.
5. Our products may come into contact with nuts, soy, and other food allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions in persons consuming our products.
